Information Systems Department (BI) of the Institute of
Mathematical Machines specializes in elaborating
innovatine Internet and intranet systems. It is an author
of IntranetON and Locumnet.pl awarded systems as well as
document management systems dokMistrz, TeleBiuro.

It conducts for few years research & development
works in e-learning discipline, utilizing dozen-years
research experience of the Institute in the scope of remote
education. At the beginning of 90ties, the pioneer
Egzaminator system was elaborated in the Institute, on
the separate workstations and in local network. The first
in Poland computer examination, at the workstations
connected by a local network, was conducted as a pilot
project by the Institute already in 1995, for the group
of students from one of the Warsaw University.

| Since
2000, we have been conducting research & development
works on e-learning standards and on innovative TeleEdu
e-learning technology. The technology gives a possibility to
conduct an effective remote education process. The majority
of these works was financed by Leonardo da Vinci EU
programme. |

The
Department conducts dissemination, training and consultation
activities, in the scope of e-learning and .NET technology;
it
implements e-learning solutions based on TeleEdu LMS,
TeleEdu e-Learning Suite authoring tools and electronic
courses, created with them;
designs
and elaborates custom-made electronic courses;
delivers
e-learning outsourcing solutions;
Within
the framework of dissemination activities it organizes,
among others, annual (in June) conference from
“Learning Electronization” cycle and
“e-Learning Workshops” (in November).
Additionally, „IMM Research & Development Works”
periodical, in the form of e-learning issues from ABC.IT
series, was renewed after few years’ break. The goal
of the publication is to bring closer difficult professional
e-learning issues in an intelligible form.
